HHC (hexahydrocannabinol) is a compound found in the pollen and seeds of the hemp plant. It is known to be the most stable version of THC due to its resistance to heat and UV radiation. In general, HHC is weaker than THC-O, but still stronger than delta-8 THC products. Users often experience a brain buzz and a more encouraging mood when HHC comes into effect.
THC-O is five times more potent than delta-8, three times stronger than THC, and four times stronger than HHC. Despite the difference in potency, consuming products with HHC and THC produces similar effects and benefits such as relaxation, sedation, energy, concentration, and sleep promotion. In theory, consuming CBD before or after consuming HHC or delta-8 could cause a less powerful euphoric high. To make HHC a little more potent and better adapt to the psychoactive nature of delta 9, it can be combined with acetic anhydride to create HHC-O (HHC-O-acetate).
This reconfigures the structure of the cannabinoid to improve its intoxicating qualities. Although HHC has adverse side effects similar to those of THC such as anxiety, insomnia, rapid heart rate, dizziness, increased appetite, dry mouth, red eyes and paranoia, it is still considered to be much weaker than other compounds. HHC cartridges come in five flavors: Hawaiian Sunrise, Sunset Sherbert, Cali Gold, Lucid Blue and Super Silver Haze. Each contains 94% premium HHC distillate and 6% terpenes.
Experienced users have reported that consuming HHC produces a relaxing effect that many find more pleasant than other cannabinoids such as delta-8 or THC-O. It is also believed that since HHC is not an isomer of THC, it would allow a THC test to be passed. The full long-term health and safety effects of THC, HHC, THC-O or products containing them are still unknown. Therefore, it is important to consult with a doctor before using any of these compounds.
